Meet Jeree

Jeree Thomas, Esq. is a Black, disabled, woman dedicated to supporting the liberatory imagination of Black, Brown, People of Color who are advocating for and building new ways of being and working together in community. 

Jeree Thomas, founder of Liberatory Imagination, has 15-years of experience in the legal, policy, and philanthropic sectors. Jeree has represented clients in administrative and court matters. She has organized local and statewide issue campaigns and served as the policy director of a national campaign to end the adultification and criminalization of youth. Jeree has served as a program officer and program director in philanthropy. Most recently, leading the Communities Transforming Policing Fund (CTPF) at Borealis Philanthropy. 

Jeree is a graduate of the College of William and Mary where she double majored in Religious Studies and Social Justice & Community Advocacy. Jeree went on to the University of Virginia School of Law where she graduated among the first class of students in the Law & Public Service Program.
